After 5 year under construction, Ho Chi Minh museum was inaugurated on 19 May 1990 to mark his 100th birthday.

The four-storeyed building is designed in the shape of a lotus flower to reflect the his noble character. With 10,000 square-metre, a collection of 3000 photos and 700 artefacts are on displays to illustrate his life and major contribution to the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Ho Chi Minh museum is located in Ho Chi Minh complex including Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, Presidential palace, his house on stilts and One Pillar pagoda. Since its opening, the museum has welcomed millions of local and international visitors on tour Vietnam.
